  Michael’s solos are prominently
featured in recordings by producers
of 
Chicago House Music such as Vick 
Lavender,  Jere McAllister, Terry Hunter,
Mark Grant, Glenn Underground, Dj Cease,
Celeste 
Alexander, Elbert Phillips,
Brian 
Harden, DJ Jes, and Paul Johnson. 



  His numerous appearances 
at clubs and festivals throughout
the Midwest include
 performances
at Ravinia, Chicago Fest, Medinah Temple,
Taste of Chicago, The Jazz Showcase, South
Shore Jazz Festival, The
House of Blues, The
Velvet Lounge, Chicago Latin Jazz Festiv
al,
Lake of the Ozarks Jazz Festival, Buddy Guy’s
Legends, Rockford Jazz Festival, and
three appearances at the Chicago
Jazz Festival. 



  He has played music for 
theatrical productions including 
works at Northlight Theatre, Drury Lane
Theatre, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, The
Royal George Theatre, Forward Theater
Company, American Players Theatre,
Milwaukee Repertory Theater, Indiana
Repertory Theatre, The Repertory Theatre
of St. Louis, American Players Theatre,
Shakespeare & Company, Actors Theatre
of Louisville, Kansas City Repertory Theatre,
Center Theatre, Victory Gardens Theater,
Remy Bumppo Theatre Company,
Renaissance Theatre Works, Goodman
Theatre, and Steppenwolf Theatre; he is
privileged to be part of the crew for
composer, producer, and sound
designer Joe Cerqua.



  He is featured on many 
commercials and industrial
productions
, with recent tracks ranging
from soundtracks for shows at the Adler
Planetarium, to specials for PBS, to station ID
packages for radio stations including WNUA
95.5 Chicago, Kiss 104.1 Atlanta, and
WJQT Miami. 



  Michael holds a  B.A. summa
cum laude, University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign, an
 A.M. from
the University of Chicago, and a 
Ph.D.
in Communications from the University
of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
